Objectives
This course enables users of Pl-ProcessBook and DataLink to create complex displays and Microsoft Excel software reports for company-wide use.
Course duration: 3 days

This course enables users of PI Processbook and Datalink to create and view displays and manipulate data within a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

- Open and view a PI ProcessBook display
- Navigate PI ProcessBook displays
- Create a PI ProcessBook, entries and display files
- Create trends, bar graphs, live values, multi-state symbols etc
- Work in Microsoft Excel and use PI DataLink
- Retrieve compressed archive data

Objectives
Designed for programmers who want to develop applications that interact with the Pl and AF systems and databases.
Course duration: 3 days
This course introduce the various ways that application is written in .NET languages can interact with OSIsoft PI System.
On completion delegates will be able to:
- Understand the technologies available for interacting with PI
- Connect to the PI Server through the PI SDK and manipulate PI objects
- Connect to the AF Sewer through the AF SDK and manipulate AF objects
- Manipulate PI Notifications with the AN SDK and create custom delivery channels
- Create client applications to present PI data through PI Web Services
- Connect to the PI and AF systems using PI OLEDB

Objectives
Designed for Pl system managers/admins, designed to exploit the advanced capabilities of the Pl Server.
Course duration: 3 days
This course is designed to exploit the advanced capabilities of the PI Server, Many of the non-core subsystems of the PI server are addressed including PI AF, PI Alarm View and the PI Totalizer subsystem.
On completion delegates will be able to:
- Understand the capabilities and effectiveness of PI AF
- Configure and manage PI Tags in the PI Alarm View
- Use PI Alarm View to monitor PI Alarm tags
- Configure and manage PI Tags in the PI Totalizer subsystem
- Employ advanced post archive processing techniques
- Use the PI Recalculation module
- Recover a non-starting PI System (with a corrupt primary archive)
- Use advanced PI Config techniques including adding data and tuning
